Love them and hope the ears stay on for a long time however I somehow doubt they will stay for more than a few days! Have a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year.

We didn’t eat too much for once, but we ate well and got a walk in too. Merry Christmas Debra!

I love those dopey little creatures, which one is Brian’s and which one is yours?? Merry, merry Christmas Joanna. We met Celia, Pete, Small Man and the chickens on Sunday, and today my Pete and I joined Debra and Jim and their family – and pavlova – two of – I was not polite:). God Bless Christmas, even with heat, flies and humidity.

The Penguin was Lulu’s and the Reindeer was Zeb’s, they are smaller than us so we let them have the toys. Aren’t we kind? I still have never had a pavlova but I dream about them and hot Christmasses sometimes. Merry Christmas to you Jan!

Merry Christmas! At least there is only one piece. All the child toys have multiple pieces to lose, step on, break, etc.
Waiting for the grandchildren to come is very hard.

When you use your teeth on your toys, the ears still come off. Hope everyone turned up and you are having a great time Heidi. Love and Merry Christmas !

    Cute!

    Merry Christmas!

We have just tucked into our very untraditional Christmas dinner of Bombay Dosa, mixed daal, spinach bhaji and a coconut relish. Nice!

We had fresh flower sprouts from the raised bed and a small fennel that we put in the salad along with more traditional duck and roast veggies. I do love a coconut relish though. Merry Christmas Ray!

On Boxing Day I added Brussels sprouts, shredded, stir fried with chilli and ginger. Nice!

The prashad vegetarian cookbook coconut relish is sublime. I made it when trying out the first few recipes from this book and seriously I thought if the other main recipes did not turn out I would just sit in the corner with a pot of this and a spoon and an insanely happy grin. :)

Brian wanted to get on the mat and chew the toys but settled for a piece of chocolate instead fortunately and left the toys to the dogs.

Oh, Spot would just love those two, but I’m afraid they would very soon look a bit the worse for wear! Hope you had a lovely day – we managed to survive the 39C heat!!

I can not believe how hot it gets in your part of the world. I don’t think I would cope, but I guess you just do things slowly. Merry Christmas to you and Spot ! xx

Santa brought Molly a Tuff toy. It’s still in one piece. Wonders of wonders. Merry Christmas, Zeb!

For some reason these toys are proving more resilient than I thought, not a nubble out of place (yet). But give it time …. xx

A very belated Happy Christmas to you and your household Joanna, in fact Happy New Year too. I do love those toys – I hope they’re still intact and being enjoyed. Your Christmas day sounds lovely, I hope 2013 is a good year for you all.

  8. Choclette

Well they are both looking very hopeful. Wishing you the very best for 2013 and hopefully you will have plenty of baking exploits to recount.

    Dear Joanna,
You were in my thoughts when I visited my friend who is also a bread maker during the holiday season. granted that it’s far too late to wish you a Merry Christmas but I hope it’s not to late to wish you all the best that the New Year has to offer.

Thank you Timethief, my blogging has hit a quiet patch, I have lots of photos to share but no words right now. Hopefully I will find some soon. Happy New Year to you too xx
