It must be Christmas as here I am making sausage rolls; normally only ever made in this house by the Pastry King and only ever in the week before Christmas. The Pastry King loves Brussel Sprouts and Brown Sauce and simply adores sausage rolls, and mince pies, in fact he adores anything with pastry on it, round it or under it. Continue reading
S is for… Summer and S is for… Sorrel and Courgette Soup
I made this summer soup earlier in the week. We sowed sorrel seed earlier in the year as well as buying a couple of small plants and consequently have lots and lots for the first time ever.
A Jamboree of Flavours
Ok well actually this is dinner. It’s late, I haven’t done a J, all the Js that come to mind are ones I’m no good at, like Jolly Hockey Sticks, Jumping in the Air, Jiving and playing Jazz, so I was getting a little low thinking of all the Js that I can’t do and that’s not really the point is it? But then I was saved by the most delicious smells wafting up the stairs and my beloved has cooked for us (again). Continue reading
