I am incredibly late to this party, but it is so easy. You have no idea of the number of half-realised blog posts that emerge in my mind and never make it up here.
Instagram makes it all too easy to share images from the day with anyone who is around. Great fun and very easy to play with and somehow the format seems to make the relatively poor quality of the iPad2 photos look quite respectable!
I have put a link that I hope will work in the sidebar so you can see these images full size and any comments. Join in if you feel like it…. what are you all up to this weekend? I might drag Brian out to hunt for waxwings… they are supposed to be everywhere right now and they are the prettiest birds!
Edit: July 2013 I gave up on Instagram a while back and deleted my account. One day I might try again but in the meantime it is all too much for me :)

Picked my last apples, and baking an apple walnut tube cake now – might even make a belated post out of it!
That sounds like a job worth doing and with cake at the end of the tunnel – I mean the tube – even better. I don’t know if they are still picking apples here, it’s been very cold, frost at night and about 5 C in the day time.
We haven’t managed to find any waxwings but we did get some very nice cured meats at Ashton Court Christmas Market from Trealy Cottage, and I am afraid I had another go at baking those buns again, this time with less oil and egg and they are more breadlike and I think I prefer them that way. I will have to test a couple in the morning to be sure :)
Instagram is fun isn’t it. It’s easy peasy and if you don’t post anything…well you don’t post anything :-)
I would love to be a disciplined blogger who posts regularly, time slips through my hands like dust and who knows why? I pop pics on Instagram as shorthand I guess xx
I love instagram, but I’m not even sure who I’m following, lol!! I’m impressed you found a way to post a gallery of your images here, that must have been tricky, and they link to instagram, very cool!! I’ve heard they are coming out with a computer version, I can hardly wait, my eyes find it tricky to see small pictures on phones, lol! xx
Morning! At the risk of sounding too pro Apple, one of the things all their hardware does is take ‘sceengrabs’ really easily. It’s always been one of their little features. The iPad does it by clicking the on button and the home button together. This generates a photo, then you just crop it. On a desktop you hold down various keys and you can take whole screen or use cursor to select. I use instagram on the ipad, no iphone here, and mine is ‘old’ so the camera isn’t that good. You can also view Instagram on a desktop and see it all bigger. That’s as far as I’ve got with my knowledge of this.
I don’t use Pinterest as I found it overwhelming but I like the simplicity of Instagram.
